I first that thought that this was an odd verse to have been chosen for the daily meditation but then I reaslised that it does teach us something, but is probably often overlooked in this respect!
This is lots of layers - I used a dark background from the kit, overlaid it with the photo of that heavy door and applied darken to the photo layer; then overlaid it with one of the printed papers and reduced the opacity a lot. The journal boards are then inserted underneath the final layer as well.
The photo of the door in the background is from a tiny old church in Devizes/Wiltshire and the top photo is a portcullis on the Bloody Tower in the Tower of London, both taken in 2005 when my Mum came for a visit.

The two photos were taken a few years back while visiting a small church on a bellringing trip - they had the most wonderful decorations up for the Harvest Festival including lovely flower arrangements and this elaborately baked bread on the altar. The flower picture is blended into the background, as are the words "Harvest" which I made into a brush. They were all stamped in the same colour, using different overlay modes afterwards.

9th September 2009 - a reminder that our famous Lord's Prayer, often frowned upon as "generic prayer", comes straight out of the Bible and is what Jesus taught us to pray!
